Patreon Launch!
There are some amazing books on offer for those of you who can contribute, and we plan on adding at least one new book monthly, which patrons will be able to vote for. You'll also get early access to Middle Finger of Vecna posts if you contribute. Prices are super reasonable, but the guide I recommend is: if there's an amount that could fall out of your wallet without you noticing, donate that, especially if you or one your players use one of our races or classes in your 5e game.
We have the best readers on the internet -- there's absolutely no doubt about that. In just the comments, we've had thoughtful discussions, shared whimsical stories, and seen thousands of typo-fixes, to say nothing of everyone who writes in via email. You guys are awesome.
This Patreon is a great chance for us to move forward with our plans to make this site even better: more books and bundles, and maybe even a comment system that doesn't chronically double-post. So if you can contribute anything, meet us over at Patreon, and get your hands on the new books.
Happy Gaming!
First pledge! I'm excited for you guys, hope this all goes well.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! Enjoy the Complete Alchemist (and the included Drugs supplement!)
DeleteAww yeah, Patreon time!
ReplyDeleteJust so you all know, the Finger and the Thumb live pretty much on the other side of the country from me(and have access to much better recording equipment), which is why I was not a part of the video. Don't worry, I'm still here, and looking forward to providing lots of amazing content for you all!
One of the perks of having a degree in TV production is that your school just loans you $12,000 in A/V equipment whenever you ask.
DeleteGranted, this particular video was done with about $1000 in equipment, but still.
DeleteWhen the closest thing you have is the integrated camera and mic on your mac, that 1000 dollars looks pretty impressive :-)
DeleteIt perfectly captured how sick Ben was that weekend. High on NyQuil the whole shoot XD
DeleteWhere there's a 'quil there's a way.
DeleteI'm not really clear what the difference is between the $3 level and the $10 level in regards to content (although the extras are cool). I'm just curious because the levels are pretty low (1, 2, 3) and then suddenly jump to 10 which suggests there's a big difference but I'm not clear on what it is.
ReplyDeleteAnd just want to say that I'll definitely sign up, I (and my group) have enjoyed your content for quite some time and look forward to seeing what you guys do next.
So, I wanted to make sure that for under $5 a month, anyone could be a part of our patreon campaign, so all the definitive PDF benefits are clustered down there. For people who are willing and able to donate a little more (to really help us keep the lights on) I included a higher tier where we offer more personal rewards, like Producer Credit, an NPC named after you, and direct access to the Digits for questions/requests. I might add more to this list, because it's important to me that I show as much appreciation as I can to those people who go the extra mile for us.
DeleteAnd to everyone that has become one of our patrons in the last few hours: Thank you! I'm sincerely humbled by everyone's generosity.
I've tried supporting but Patreon gets stuck on the processing your pledge section, hopefully they are just having server issues and will get it fixed soon
ReplyDeleteThey were, in fact, down this morning doing server maintenance. It might be a lingering issue from that. You can always keep trying -- the Patreon isn't going anywhere.
DeleteAnd thanks for donating! (or trying to)
Holy crap, guys, you all are freaking amazing! In one day, we hit 124 a month...this is far and away more than any of us expected!
ReplyDeleteI'm just floored. I've been trying to message every single patron individually to let them know how much I appreciate this, but words really do fail me now.
DeleteThanks everyone. I intend to earn your continued support.
Any ideas why the chronomancy update won't download into readable format, is there perhaps a second PDF?
ReplyDeleteI just checked and I was able to download and read it no problem.
DeleteI cant remember how i found your site. I think it was palm's giantitp signature. Anyway I'm super glad I found it because I'm loving this content. I never played Pathfinder but was always interested in learning more about the Alchemist. Now I can play one in 5e and that's freaking awesome.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the awesome effort you put into all this content. You have my pledge.
Ps. Even if he was sick Thumb is cute :)
Awesome! Glad I could help, glad to have your patronage!
DeleteAnd I agree, Ben does have a sort of teddy-bear-ish look to him, doesn't he?
