7 Festive Magic Items

Bag of Cheer
Wondrous item, legendary
This large sack, made from red velvet, appears to be full of presents in colorful wrapping. The bag weighs 30 lb.
You can use an action to pull a present from the bag and give it to another creature. When the creature uses an action to remove the wrapping, a gift is revealed. The gift is tailored specifically to the recipient; the DM should determine its nature or roll on the table below. The value of the gift cannot exceed 100 gp.
Once three presents have been pulled from the bag, the bag can't be used again until the next dawn.

d10 Gift
1     A weapon or a shield
2     A common potion
3     An objet d'art
4     An item of clothing
5     A tool or musical instrument
6     Gold
7     Gems
8     An exotic food
9     A book
10   A toy or gaming set

Bauble Pendant
Wondrous item, common (requires attunement)
While wearing this gaudy glass bauble, you are suffused with festive goodwill, which is distasteful to devils and demons. Fiends have disadvantage on attack rolls made against you as long as you are attuned to the pendant.

Hat of Confined Spaces
Wondrous item, uncommon (requires attunement)
While wearing this hat, you have a climbing speed equal to your walking speed, and can squeeze through any chimney, flue, or air duct, regardless of how narrow its opening.

Instrument of the Bards: Caroler's Songbook
Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement by a bard)
This songbook, filled with popular carols, works exactly like the Instruments of the Bards listed in the DMG. It contains the following spells: beacon of hope, major image, mass healing word.

Mistletoe Staff
Staff, uncommon
This staff has 3 charges. While holding it, you can use an action to expend one charge to cast the spell command from it (spell save DC = 13). When using this staff, you can only issue commands that are synonymous with the word 'Kiss'.
The staff regains 1d4 - 1 charges daily at midnight.

Sleigh of Swift Flying
Woundrous item, legendary
You can command this sleigh to levitate and fly by saying its command word. It can be controlled by its driver via a rein that requires at least one hand to manipulate.
The sleigh is a huge object with an AC of 15, 100 HP and resistance to all damage. Up to two Medium creatures or one Large creature can ride inside the sleigh; it can also hold up to 1,000 lb. of cargo. The sleigh's base speed is 120 feet, and this is increased by 30 feet for each reindeer hitched to it, up to a maximum of 8 reindeer (360 feet).

Stocking of Devouring
Wondrous item, uncommon (requires attunement)
This red and white stocking has a row of teeth surrounding its opening and an interior space considerably larger than its outside dimensions, roughly 2 feet in diameter and 4 feet deep. The stocking can hold up to 500 lb., not exceeding a volume of 64 cubic feet. The stocking weighs 15 lb., regardless of its contents. Retrieving an item from the bag requires an action but can only be performed by a creature that is attuned to the stocking.
If any creature that is not attuned to the stocking places an object inside it, that object is immediately transmuted into a lump of coal weighing 1 lb.
Placing a stocking of devouring inside an extradimensional space created by another magic item instantly destroys both items an opens a one-way gate to the Astral Plane in the location where the items were. Any creature within 10 feet of the gate is sucked through it to a random location on the Astral Plane. The gate then closes and cannot be re-opened.

  1. The Sleigh is actually a pretty good item. Id put that in a dragons hoard for a party. The druid and or Ranger could possibly find raindeer too...

  2. I appreciate that the Bag of Cheer can produce any or all of the items Father Christmas presents the Pevensies.

    1. ...Except for Peter's shield. Maybe I should add that in.

  3. What about inedidble fruit cake as magical ranged ammunition
